A brand-new Spanish Club has officially opened its doors at Valley Torah, led by Aaron Pezeshki. The club was created to give students the opportunity to learn one of the most practical and widely used languages in today’s world. Spanish is spoken by hundreds of millions of people globally and is increasingly valuable in academic, professional, and everyday settings.
In today’s job market, bilingualism is a major advantage. Many companies actively seek employees who can communicate in more than one language, and Spanish is consistently one of the most in-demand. By learning Spanish, students are not only gaining a useful skill for travel and communication, but also strengthening their resumes and long-term career prospects. The Spanish Club aims to make this learning process accessible, engaging, and relevant.
Beyond language acquisition, the club places a strong emphasis on cultural awareness. Members will explore Spanish-speaking cultures through conversation, activities, and discussions in a relaxed and supportive environment. The goal is not just memorization of vocabulary, but real understanding of how language and culture intersect. Students are encouraged to participate actively, ask questions, and learn at their own pace.
The Spanish Club plans to meet on a weekly basis, with additional activities and improvements expected as the club continues to grow. Future changes and expansions are already being discussed to make meetings even more interactive and beneficial.
New members are strongly encouraged to join, regardless of prior experience. Students who already know Spanish are also welcome and are encouraged to help guide discussions, support beginners, and share their knowledge with others. The Spanish Club is an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow—academically, culturally, and socially—right here at Valley Torah.
