THE VALLEY TORAH SCROLL: Your Main Source of Valley Torah News.

After a long hiatus, Valley Torah is proud to announce the founding of its new newspaper, The Valley Torah Scroll. The Scroll, which will be run by and for the students, will present an opportunity for students to get involved in what is happening around the school and for students to share their ideas in a professional fashion.

The newly appointed Editor in Chief, Eli Solomon (’19), says this about the new initiative:

I believe this newspaper has a lot of potential. Every other major Jewish high school has some sort of paper or outreach to the students that seemed to be lacking in the years I’ve been at Valley Torah so far. My main goal as Editor-in-Chief for this paper is to start off somewhere so that future years can grow and continuously improve on the previous years’ works. Again, I cannot understate how thrilled I am to be at the head of this launch and I only see success in both the short term and the long.

Eli Solomon (’19), Editor-in-Chief.

In addition to students, many members of the administration have expressed their excitement to the newspaper:

I look forward to the newspaper to be a great vehicle for student self expression and a big factor a catalyst for even greater school spirit.

Rabbi Avrohom Stulberger, Rosh HaYeshiva

The hope for the newspaper is to enhance student creativity, leadership, and writing skills, while at the same time sharing the amazing work happening at VTHS with the community.

Mr. Tomer Kleinman, General Studies Principal

Under new leadership, [The] Valley Torah Scroll fills a critical role as a beacon of student news and a creative outlet for Valley Torah Students

Rabbi Yisroel Semmel. Assistant Principal and Director of Student Life.

How The Scroll will take form as a part of the fabric of our school is yet to be seen, but I would be remiss if I didn’t say that the potential of The Scroll is unlimited.
