Valley Torah High School introduced a new kollel learning program for select juniors and seniors that takes place daily. This program was created to give students an enhanced opportunity to deepen their Torah learning during the school day.

Selected students commit twenty minutes of their lunchtime to learn Gemara Brachot with Rabbi Biron. The program lasts fifty minutes in total and is structured to provide uninterrupted, guided learning. Students are paired with a chavrusa, further strengthening their individual reading skills and understanding of the Gemara.

The program was originally held in the kollel next to Valley Torah, but due to the arrival of yeshiva bochurim from Chofetz Chaim, it will temporarily take place in Valley Torah’s Beis Midrash. This change in setting creates a more serious learning environment, giving students additional motivation to grow.

Throughout the sessions, Rabbi Biron connects the Gemara to real-life stories while posing thoughtful and encouraging questions. As a reward for their commitment, students who consistently participate earn a special, all-expenses-paid Shabbaton, further motivating them and strengthening their connection to spiritual growth.

The Kollel Program exemplifies Valley Torah’s unwavering commitment to enhancing students’ Torah learning beyond the regular school schedule.
