On November 25th, Jonah Halpern, a sophomore at Valley Torah, organized a successful blood drive that made a significant impact on the community. The event, held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., was part of Valley Torah’s Chessed Club, which promotes kindness and community service. The blood drive was affiliated with Cedars-Sinai, ensuring that the donations would be put to good use.

Approximately 30 participants, including both students and community members, came to donate blood. Each donor received a $15 gift card for their contribution. The collected blood was sent to hospitals to assist patients in need, highlighting how even a small donation can make a substantial difference.

Jonah Halpern and the Chessed Club demonstrated the impact of student leadership and the power of acts of kindness. Their efforts showed how one initiative can benefit many beyond the Valley Torah community.
