One of the most remarkable things about him is his dedication to learning. Every morning, before shacharis, he studies the Mishnah Berurah with students. This commitment is inspiring because it demonstrates a level of discipline and devotion that goes beyond the classroom. Watching him balance rigorous learning with his teaching responsibilities sets an example for students and staff alike, showing that consistent effort and focus can make a lasting impact.

Beyond his learning, Rabbi Striks is an all-around good guy, and that’s something everyone notices. He’s approachable, kind, and genuinely cares about the people around him. Whether it’s helping students tackle a difficult topic, offering advice during a challenging moment, or simply taking the time to check in with someone, he makes everyone feel seen and valued. His guidance isn’t just academic; it’s personal. As I mentioned earlier, Rabbi Striks learns Mishna Berurah with students every day before davening, but what I did not sat was that he also always takes the sefer that does not have a cover for himself, while leaving the sefarim with covers for the other students to use. Although this act is simple, it consistently demonstrates how he puts the needs and even desires of students before his own.
