On June 22, the Oklahoma City Thunder faced the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. For a recap, Indiana won game 1 with a game-winner shot and OCK won game 2. Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander dropped 38 points in Game 1 and 34 in Game 2. The Pacers won game 3 with a near triple-double from Tyrese Haliburton. For game 4, OCK tied again thanks to SGA, who had scored 15 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter. OKC pulled ahead 3–2 as Jalen Williams exploded for 40 points in game 5 and Haliburton tallied just four points and didn’t hit a shot from the field in 34 minutes. However, for Game 6, the Pacers dominated 108–91 in Indiana, forcing Game 7, the first Finals to go the distance since the Cleveland–GS series in 2016. Tyrese Haliburton suffered an injury to his Achilles early in Game 7 after playing Game 6 through a calf strain, impacting Indiana’s lineup and offense. Following Halliburton’s exit, the Pacers held a brief halftime lead but lost it after the second half when OKC cranked up their defense. OCK’s defense held the Pacers to 41.4% shooting, and the Thunder became the first finals team to have over 100 points since 1988. SGA had 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 12 assists. To finish off, the Thunder won Game 7, 103–91, and secured their first NBA championship since relocating from Seattle.
