At Valley Torah High School, teachers often spend the majority of their careers teaching a certain subject, depending on how long they stay at our school. This certainly was the case for Mr. Rodgers, who has been teaching math and physics for around 20 years at Valley Torah. To put that into perspective, when LeBron James reached the league, Mr. Rodgers was already teaching math to the students of Valley Torah. But like any era, it has to come to an end, and Mr. Rodgers surely had a good one, giving students memorable lessons on the art of math for generations.

Many students of Mr. Rodgers had older brothers or relatives who underwent his great teaching, making Mr. Rodgers one of the staples of secular education at Valley Torah. Before he announced his departure, he was the longest current standing teacher at Valley Torah, an accomplishment that only complements his skill at involving students and giving lectures. As I believe I am speaking for all of his students, I can just say personally that Mr. Rodgers has helped me in not only math but other fields of life, and in the classroom, has helped me achieve my goals and dreams of pursuing a career that has a lot of math in it.

To conclude, Mr. Rodgers deserves all the honor he can get for his work on and off the school campus of Valley Torah High School. He will be greatly missed and hopefully will continue to come back to Valley Torah for its numerous events that give him and other former loved teachers to come back and share the memories they created.
