Over this past year, Valley Torah had done a remarkable program called the Alive program. This program incentivized koshering your phone, as if you put a filter on your phone, you would get monthly privileges, and the once in a lifetime Florida trip! After a massively successful year, Valley Torah were faced with a huge decision: what next? Well, after hours of thinking and deciding, they decided to go with a genius three-choice program. Each student over the summer are able to choose between three decisions: plan A, plan B, and plan C. Plan A is to stay on the fully alive filter and receive one hundred and fifty dollars. This incentivises students to stay on the program, even when not in the school. Next, there is plan B. Plan B gives you the option to have a part search filter, but with no reward. This lets kids have a more lenient summer, and still be able to do the Alive filter next year with no cost! Keep in mind, the filters cost on average anywhere from 140- 200 dollars, so if students do plan A or B, they are also receiving a 200 dollar benefit. In plan C, you have the option of taking off the filter fully, but if you want to go back the next year on the alive program, you must pay 150 dollars. This might seem a bit harsh on first glance, but if you think about it, you are only paying for one hundred and fifty dollars to go on an amazing trip, compared to a trip like the Weekaton which costs upwards of 700 dollars. In conclusion, each student has a choice whether to continue Alive fully, have a partial filter, or completely quit. Thank you to all the Rebbeim who are participating in helping out the Alive program!
