This year, each Valley Torah student had the opportunity to help Valley Torah in their annual, fundraising campaign. Each student made countless calls just to help out Valley Torah. Whether it was during their Gemara Shiur, lunch break, or even at home during their very own free time, each student helped make a contribution to the school’s seven-hundred thousand dollar goal in order to help fund the new girls campus and scholarship funds. In addition, students got incentives and benefits for helping out Valley Torah reach their goal, as they could get anywhere from a hike and a pizza lunch, to Six Flags and a steak barbeque! That’s exactly what the freshmen honors Gemara shiur was able to reach, as we were able to fundraise a whopping 30 thousand dollars, which was able to get us our Six Flags trip! So, after a short Gemara class, we went to Six Flags with our two chaperones, Rabbi Davidowitz and Ethan Pezeshki. Due to it still being a school day for most students, the park was empty, as each line took around five to ten minutes, depending on which ride it was, as the more thrill ride usually had around 10-15 minutes, like Goliath and Twisted Collosus. After going on countless rides, we were even able to make a Mincha minyan in the park with a tourist, showing the world a Kiddush Hashem. Overall, the trip was a huge blast, and it was even better knowing.
