As the last day of school approaches, students bid farewell to their teachers and rebbeim. Since our new science teacher Dr. Jurdi, will not be joining us at Valley Torah next year, the students threw a farewell party for him. In the middle of their math final, students ran out of their classes and into Dr. Jurdis’s room with confetti cannons and a cake to wish the doctor farewell. Also that morning, students got to enjoy an exceptional breakfast with iced coffee and cereal, sponsored by the new student council. The new student council consists of Uriel Vahedy as the 10th-grade rep, the 11th-grade rep is Yonatan Shafigi, the 12th-grade rep is Ethan Pezeshki, Treasurer Joseph Elbaz, Historian Mordechai Plotitsa, the vice president Moshe Kerendian and the president Ellie Soufer. Valley Torah made sure the Torah spirit would not be affected in the summer and did so by many Rebbeim pushing to have a meschat siyum on the Gemera Makkot. During Shavuot, they will be having a learning program through the night. In addition to that, Valley Torah will continue to have 8:00 am Shacharit through the summer. Enjoy your summer vacation and see you soon.
